Ahoy,

We had a couple really nice days in Seattle. We explored the city and had several local tourguides who showed us the highlights.. Thanks a lot Yale, Drew and Tom!

Skyline view from the anchorage

The Troll

Chewing gum wall – streetart

Monorail, leftover from the world’s fair in 1961

One of the highlights was the chewing gum wall with Millions of chewing gums sticked to a wall. Some actually wrote or drawed pictures out of chewing gums..

We picked up my Dad up at the Airport and from now on have another crewmember fir our cruise down the coast..

Now we are in Port Townsend and visit the Wooden Boat festival. It’s very impressive to see how nice the old wooden boats look. I’m glad we’re anchored a little further out so Noone can see how used ZERO looks like..

When we arrived yesterday we had quite some wind here and the old schooners were racing in the bay. It felt  a bit like we time travelled back a hundred years..

Aloha

  1. I used t be a wood boat nut but born again fiber glass inthusist now. The w.b.f. is neat but kinda snobby and insane the amount of $$$ people spend on their “rich man” toys….. bordering on the obscene!
Soon you will be back in zeros true elements. … the blue blue. Smooth sailing to you!
Highly recommend Gold Beach Oregon as a landfall if conditions permit! Gold and gemstones are plentiful @ the rogue river!

  2. Sweet. Nice to see your not in jail and the boat impounded. Port Townsend is cool. I have met multiple people who rebuilt their boats there. Love the mini tall mast ship picture. Looks like awesome weather. Enjoy!
