The days are getting longer. It’s after 8 and there is still some light out there..
I eased the course yesterday and we’re doing 60 degree to the wind now. The boat movement is much better but the sea is a little calmer as well. Wind dropped to around 16 kn more east than northeast now.
This morning I layed in the cockpit, getting some sun and tried to recover from the seasicknes when I had another bite on my lure.
It must have been a big one too soo fast it took my line. It was quite a fight to reel it in. I felt so weak and it took ages for me to get it to the boat. It was a yellow fin tuna and he tried hard to escape but the hook was set and there was no escape this time.
I was so exhausted when I had it on deck that I needed a rest before I started to clean, fillet and pack it into the freezer. Its hard to say but maybe around 30-35#??
Definetly enough tuna for me for a long time and no more fishing until there is some room in the freezer..
The days etmal was 184 nm! Wow. Its amazing how fast ZERO is and I have to do nothing for it. Thanks a lot ZERO!
