This morning we lifted up anchor to go over the sandbars and start our way south. It was a rainy and pretty windy day with southerly winds up to 30 kn and waves 10-15 ft.
As soon we arrived the channel the coast guard friendly reminded us on vhf that they closed the channel for passenger, fishing and recreational vessels. So we just took a look what we might got out there and turned around to find a close by anchorage.
Now we’re waiting for better weather, fired up the heater and hang out.
Yes, the Columbia River bar is nothing to take lightly.
